Ten Surprising Health Benefits of Coffee
1. Avoid Alzheimer’s
A 2009 study found that people who drank three to five cups of coffee a day at midlife were 65 percent less likely to develop Alzheimer’s in their later years, compared to those who drank little or no coffee. Other research suggests that the caffeine in coffee may reduce production of the protein beta-amyloid, deposits of which often form in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. http://ping.fm/VINJ8
2. Curb Cancer Risk
The antioxidant compounds in coffee may help prevent several types of cancer. In a Japanese study, women who drank three or more cups of coffee a day had half the risk of developing colon cancer, compared to those who didn’t drink coffee. An analysis of ten studies showed that coffee drinkers have a 41 percent lower risk of liver cancer than coffee abstainers. Other studies have linked coffee consumption with a reduced risk of endometrial, kidney, and oral cancers. http://ping.fm/mxvYc
3. Defend Against Diabetes
Drinking coffee lowered the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by up to 60 percent in a 2006 study that included people at high risk for the disease. Even former coffee drinkers were less likely to develop the disease than those who never drank it. The antioxidants, minerals, and caffeine in coffee may help keep diabetes at bay by improving glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity. http://ping.fm/WRjka
4. Reduce Workout Pain
Consuming caffeinated coffee an hour before vigorous exercise may help prevent pain while you’re working out, suggests a 2009 study of young men. An earlier study of young women found that using caffeine before exercise can cut post-workout pain by nearly 50 percent. The caffeine in coffee may help by blocking the activity of a chemical called adenosine that activates pain receptors in cells. http://ping.fm/kOtbR
5. Guard Against Gout
Two studies from 2007 suggest that drinking coffee is protective against gout, a painful, arthritic condition of the joints (most commonly, the big toes). In one study, middle-aged and older men who drank four to five cups of coffee a day were 40 percent less likely to develop gout than those who abstained from the beverage. Decaf also was associated with a modest reduction in risk, suggesting that something other than caffeine is responsible for the beneficial effect. Another study, involving both men and women, found that coffee consumption may lower blood levels of uric acid, a substance linked to gout. http://ping.fm/vpdtJ
6. Deter Death from Heart Disease
A number of recent studies indicate that coffee drinkers have lower odds of dying from heart disease. For instance, a 2008 study concluded that women who drank two to three cups of coffee per day had a 25 percent lower risk of death from heart disease than those drinking less than a cup a month. The antioxidants in coffee may have several heart-healthy effects, including improving blood vessel function, reducing inflammation, and protecting LDL (bad) cholesterol from oxidation. http://ping.fm/HTVzS
7. Preserve Your Memory
Coffee may help to keep memory sharp, according to a pair of studies from 2007. In one study, older women who drank more than three cups of coffee a day experienced fewer declines over time on memory tests than those who drank one cup or less a day. Tea drinkers enjoyed similar benefits, so caffeine may be the beneficial component. Another study found that older men who consumed three cups of coffee a day had a slower rate of cognitive decline than those who drank either more or less than this amount. http://ping.fm/SkrvT
8. Protect Against Parkinson’s
Several studies have linked coffee drinking with a lower risk of Parkinson’s disease. For instance, a 2007 study revealed that people who drank one to four cups of coffee a day cut their chances of developing the neurodegenerative disorder by nearly 50 percent. Scientists believe the caffeine in coffee may help defend against Parkinson’s by boosting levels of the brain chemical dopamine. http://ping.fm/pIgKx
9. Sidestep Stones
Coffee appears to reduce the risk of both gallstones and kidney stones. In a 2002 study, women who drank at least four cups of coffee a day were 25 percent less likely to need surgery for gallstones than nondrinkers were, and an earlier study showed that coffee drinking lowered gallstone risk in men. The caffeine in coffee may discourage gallstone formation by triggering gallbladder contractions and increasing the flow of bile. As for kidney stones, both regular and decaf coffee have been linked to risk reduction, perhaps simply by increasing urine output. http://ping.fm/jwesH
10. Say No to Stroke
In a 2009 study, women who drank four or more cups of coffee a day had a 20 percent lower risk of stroke, compared to those who had less than one cup a month. Coffee’s protective effect was even more pronounced among nonsmokers: For women who had never smoked or had kicked the habit, drinking at least four cups of coffee daily was linked to a 43 percent reduced risk of stroke. As with heart disease, the antioxidants in coffee may offer protection by improving blood vessel function.

Millionaire Success Tip#1: Prepare For A Marathon, Not A Sprint!
You've got to prepare for the marathon, not for the sprint. You see I had a heart attack at age 24, and a nervous breakdown at age 25 because I totally sacrificed everything in my life for making millions of dollars—which looking back absolutely wasn’t worth it.
So many people today are so busy chasing after so many things and are dealing with high stress levels at home with the kids, with finances and jobs. The truth is we are not operating optimally. Just imagine for a second there's a brain surgeon who has a fight with his wife or with his teenager about not spending time with the family and he comes in to perform major surgery. That's not the guy I want operating on me—there's no question about that. Most of us make mistakes in our jobs and add on extra stress because we are not focused on the one task at hand.
So I had to learn how to prioritize my husband, my 5 children, and 5 companies. Identifying your true priorities, then strategically planning your time and sticking to your plan will make or break your long-term success and true happiness in your life. Start by asking yourself, if I died tomorrow, and looked back on my life, what would I have done more of and who would I have spent more time with? Then start to block out time daily, weekly, monthly to do these things. I promise you, if you learn to do this you will be able to run the marathon instead of burning out like you're running a sprint.
If you're not clear on what you want, and where you want to go, then life will live you instead of you living life. You really can chart your course and create the life and lifestyle of your dreams if you're willing to learn a few, simple skills and shortcuts to get the results you want.

Is Network Marketing Just a Scam?
Q: Some friends continue to try to recruit me into network marketing deals that seem like some type of money game or pyramid. Other friends tell me they're illegal and I'll get into trouble. How do I know what's legal and legitimate?
A: To help you understand what network marketing is, I must first explain what it isn't. First, network marketing isn't a pyramid scheme. Pyramids are programs similar to chain letters where people just invest money based on the promise that other people will put in money that will filtrate back to them and somehow, they'll get rich. A pyramid is strictly a money game and has no basis in real commerce. Normally, there's no product involved at all, just money changing hands. Modern-day pyramids may have a product, but it's clearly there just to disguise the money game.
Network marketing is a legitimate business. First, it's based on providing people with real, legitimate products they need and want at a fair price. While some people do make a lot of money through network marketing, their financial benefit is always the result of their own dedicated efforts in building an organization that sells real products and services.
Pyramids are illegal and are based on taking advantage of people. For a person to actually make money in a pyramid scheme, someone else has to lose money. But in network marketing, each person can multiply his or her efforts, skills and talents by helping others be successful. Network marketing has proved itself as part of the new economy and a preferred way to do business here and around the world.
Network marketing isn't about taking advantage of your friends and relatives. Only a few years ago, network marketing meant retailing to, and sponsoring people from, your "warm list" of prospects. Although sharing the products or services and the opportunity with people you know is still the basic foundation of the business, today we see more people using sophisticated marketing techniques such as the Internet, conference calling and other long-distance sponsoring techniques to extend their network across the country.
Network marketing isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. Of course some people do make large amounts of money very quickly. Many would say those people are lucky. But success in networking isn't based on luck. (Unfortunately, money won't sprout wings and fly into your bank account no matter what someone has promised you.) Success in network marketing is based on following some very basic yet dynamic principles.
Now let's discuss what network marketing is. Network marketing is a serious business for serious people. It's a proven system where the design, creation and expense the corporate team has gone through becomes a road map for your own success. Just follow the simple, proven and duplicable system that the good companies provide.
The real key is this: Network marketing is all about leverage. You can leverage your time and increase the number of hours of work effort on which you can be paid by sponsoring other people and earning a small income on their efforts. J. Paul Getty, who created one of the world's greatest fortunes, said "I would rather make 1 percent on the efforts of 100 people than 100 percent on my own efforts." This very basic concept is the cornerstone of network marketing.
For example, most successful people building a network marketing business do so in an organized method. They work a few dedicated hours each week, with each hour of effort serving as a building block for their long-term business growth. Then they sponsor other people and teach those people how to sell the company product and sponsor others who duplicate the process.
By helping the people you personally sponsor to sponsor others, you duplicate yourself. As this process continues, you create compound growth that can lead to hundreds or even thousands of people coming into your business. You leverage your time by helping others be successful and earn an income from all their efforts.
With network marketing, there are no big capital requirements, no geographical limitations, no minimum quotas required and no special education or skills needed. Network marketing is a low-overhead, home based business that can actually offer many of the tax advantages associated with owning your own business. Network marketing is a people-to-people business that can significantly expand your circle of friends. It's a business that enables you to travel and have fun as well as enjoy the lifestyle that extra income can provide.

Ten Common Network Marketing Mistakes - And How To Overcome Them
It is true, there are many millionaires in the MLM business. Well, there are also many millionaires in professional sports. Th question though is, how many schoolyard ballplayers make it to the professional level? I don't have to tell you, VERY few..
This is the case for earnings opportunities for network marketers as well. While the earning opportunities are unlimited, it is also a fact that relatively few, probably less than one percent, will ever make the "big money."
Statistics indicate that less than ten percent of the distributors in the business are full time. By and large, network marketing offers a great part-time activity for folks who keep their day job. Realistic expectations and goals for the average distributor should be an extra $400 or $500 per month as auxiliary income to their permanent job. Most network marketers who are locked into expectations of the "big money" will soon be disappointed and drop out. In addition, a sponsor who recruits other distributors with expectations of the "big money" will soon find that he or she has lost credibility with those that he or she has sponsored. In other words, be hopeful, be realistic, and your down line will likely be around for a long time.
2. Go For the Product, Not the Plan
Too often, network marketers are seduced into a program by promises of instant riches are held out as the result of compensation plans that are "break-through," "revolutionary" or whose payout guarantees instant riches.
In fact, history has demonstrated that no company has been successful on the basis of its compensation plan alone. It may get a jump-start and zoom like a rocket, but it will fall like a rock in short order. Of course, a fair compensation plan that provides good incentives is important.
3. Don't Think Short Term
The MLM business is like any other worthwhile endeavor. Network Marketers who look for success in the short term are preparing themselves for failure. Realistically, a network marketer should not be expecting to see the true fruits of his or her labor until at least six months into the business. Those who have been truly successful have been at it long term. Give yourself some time.
4. Easy Money, It is Not
Often times, the MLM recruitment pitch is one of "easy money." Prospective network marketers are told that they don't have to work, they don't have to sell, they just make lists and $20 bills will sprout wings and fly into their mailbox.
Those experienced in business will tell you that this is not an easy money "game." It is not merely a recruiting game. It is not a game. Network marketers who are successful know their product, know their customers, know the company's vision, and are prepared to do that which is necessary "hard work."
5. "Gimmicky" Product - Forget About It
If you're looking for an amusement park ride, go to the amusement park. Getting on to the roller coaster of a company with gimmicky "fad products" will yield a lot of ups and downs, but the ride will be over quickly.
6. Don't Ignore the Company Track Record
It is true that the "big money" is often made by those who get in on the "ground floor." And yet, for the average individual, the ground floor opportunity may be of little value if the ground falls out from under them in a short period of time. The success ratio of MLM companies is probably no different than that of other small businesses. For better or worse, there is a significant failure rate.
Therefore, a network marketer who is looking to increase his or her odds should pick a company with a track record, preferably a company that has been in business at least for a year and has demonstrated quality management. For those, however, who are not faint of heart, and wish to take the plunge at the very beginning, they should do some significant due diligence as to the principles of the company, their prior success in business, their infrastructure and talk to other distributors that are coming in on the ground floor.
7. Run Away From the "Front-load."
The company that needs to "front-load" distributors with unnecessary inventory will require substantial "cash investment" and is unconsciously sending a signal of failure to the prospective recruit. In a day of UPS and Federal Express Next Day Delivery, no distributor should be asked to carry large investments of inventory. The only true rationale for such a practice is to generate large sums of money for the payment of large commissions to "heavy hitters" who develop "recruiting machines." These programs are disguised pyramids and, when the recruitment slows down, the opportunity will also disappear.
Instead, look for a company that demands modest investment from its distributors and ask its distributors to purchase product in an orderly fashion for intended expectation of personal use or sale.
8. Look for Products with Profit Margins
Too often distributors are distracted by the compensation plan or the earnings hype to spend time looking at the profitability of the products and services sold by a company.
Services represent a significant future in the MLM industry, but such services as telecom or internet access carry a much smaller margin of profit. These are fine products, but a distributor who embarks on a career selling low profit, low margin services should be prepared for the fact that it will take a much larger volume of customers to achieve the same residual income as selling products with high margins. In addition, distributors should be careful to study the program and determine that the long-term future of the company is not built around the redistribution of high-priced training fees for distributors as opposed to the residual income from service sales.
9. Don't be an MLM Junkie
There are a few distributors in the industry who have developed the ability to "work" multiple programs. Those professional distributors are few and far between. Since the average distributor is part-time to begin with, he or she should carefully pick a company and stick with it. History favors the long-term committed distributor rather than the MLM junkie who hops from company to company to company. It is difficult enough to focus energy on one company and its products, let alone several.
Splitting your time and energy among several companies will probably yield thin results compared to focusing "like a laser" on one company.
10. Don't Sit Around
Activity is the name of the game in MLM. It may sound odd, but the expression "you snooze, you lose" is very applicable to this business. It is not enough to join the company, call all your friends at once, and expect the money to come rolling in. One of the worst mistakes a network marketer can make is to sit around rather than getting "proactive." The most successful network marketers are ones that are constantly recruiting, constantly selling, calling upon the same prospective customers and recruits multiple times, and reinvesting a substantial chunk of their commission check back into the business of recruiting and selling.

7 Social Media Tips To Help You Achieve Your Success
2. Find your mentor. I have more than one coach on my way to becoming a social media guru. I have mentors now and plan to have more mentors in the future. Get yourself a mentor. As I am sure you have heard, “The ultimate shortcut is doing it right the first time.”
3. Don’t wait until the conditions are perfect for launching your campaign. Remember, “You don’t have to get it right. You just have to get it going”.
4. Join one business networking site at a time and take the time to master it. Social networking sites can be intimidating at first. Learn a new feature, practice it, and go on to the next. Do not over extend yourself.
5. Start out blogging once a week. It’s hard to begin, especially if, like me, you’re not a professional writer. You can increase your posting frequency later.
6. Realize that there’s a steep social media learning curve. Do not quit. So many people join Twitter or Facebook or begin blogging and quit shortly thereafter. They expected to sprint a 100-yard* dash, not to run a marathon.
7. Don’t forget about the “social” in social media. Get to know a lot of people and have a blast!
I hope these tips will help you in your journey of Social Media and Networking. Please contact me if you would like to discuss in more details.

I faced one of my silly fears today, and it felt good!
For as long as I have been going I have pretty much always lucked up and been placed with a female student. Now before you get the wrong idea, I say "lucked up" because I would always have this stupid, as I look at it now, phobia of a man should not be able to make my body feel "this good". I am sure you are probably busting a gut at this point and thought of every joke in the book. Well, the truth is I was very serious about it even to the point of walking out on an appointment once because they set me up with a male student and I just wasn't cool with that.
Well here I am today, I have not been for a massage in a long while and I know I am overdue...you guessed it, a male student. I said to myself in that split second that seemed to be much longer that it time for me to break out of this thing that has controlled me for so long.
As you can probably guess, he did an excellent job. It actually never once felt awkward and to be honest I would argue that it may have been one of the best massages I ever received.
Well, there is a much bigger lesson to learn from this. Too many times in life we let meaningless, superficial and shallow roadblocks prevent us from experiencing potentially life changing moments. Now I would not go as far to say that a massage is life changing but it did make me really stop and think about the other phobias that I have that may preventing me from reaching my full potential in life.
In closing I challenge you to look inside yourself, what are the things that hold you back? What can you do to remove those fears and open yourself to all that life has to offer. I know it i snot always easy but take it from me, It is not so bad to have a guy give you a massage after all...Talk to you again soon!

The story of the "Heart of the Champion"...
I've lost almost 300 games...
26 times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed...
I've failed over and over and over again in my life...
And that is why I succeed."
Who said it?
The legendary icon himself, Michael Jordan.
That's what I'm looking for. A champion. A heart of pure gold, of pure desire. That's what it takes.
You WILL fail in network marketing over and over and over again, there is absolutely no doubt about that and no way around it.
It takes that one final game winning shot to make it over the hump...and over that hump is everything you've ever wanted in life.

Tired Of The Old School Network Marketing Techniques?
I know that when I first joined my first network marketing company, I was told to use these same techniques. I was told to make a list of 100 people that I knew and basically call every one of them to ask and see if they would be interested in making some extra money.
I was only faced with questions I wasn't able to answer, getting hung up on, and faced with nothing but rejection.
When I was officially shunned by everyone that I knew, all my upline told me to do was to go out and buy some opportunity leads.
This only led me to some more rejection and spending a bunch of money.
Now I was out of money, and had nothing to show for it.
Then just as I was going to give up, I found what I consider to be the "life saver" for my business.
This life saver I speak of was Mike Dillard's 7 Day Free Video Boot Camp.
In these 7 free videos Mike explained how I could attract an endless stream of prospects to me ready to join and actually get paid to prospect.
These videos have really changed the way I do my business, and I think they can help you too.

A Review of ViralURL
Whether you are promoting other people’s products or promoting your own products – that doesn’t matter because after all it is nothing but your own business and your means to earn good money. So whichever be your case, I am sure you would not want to leave money on the table and invite others to steal your share of profit.
Even though the industry of affiliate marketing is pretty competitive but if you are cautious and are strategic in your marketing techniques then, it could be very profitable for you.
Take a close look at the industry, you will see that not every one who gets into affiliate marketing is successful. People who are doing well leave no room for failure and take all security measures and understand its importance.
Yes! Security is one of the key factors in affiliate marketing. If you do not adopt proper security measures, then your business will be at high risk. One of the most important way to restore security is to protect your affiliate links. Do not take them for granted. A bit of carelessness on your part in regards to affiliate links may cost you a lot of dollars.
Do you know the long complicated links that you send to your prospective customers not only look convoluted but they can create a lot of problems too! If you send such an affiliate link to your customers, then the smart ones will definitely figure out that you are promoting someone else’s product and they would rather visit the parent company. Also, if your link does not function then your customers have to type a really long URL into the browser, which will definitely put him or her off.
You could be a victim of even a worse situation. What if some devious Internet pirates steal your affiliate links and replace them with theirs. If they do that, then you get no commission at all.
Did I scare you off with all of the above possibilities? Well, that certainly wasn’t my intention. I just wanted to open your eyes and state facts that actually happen in the world of Internet. It happened with me until I came across ViralURL , that brought a revolution to my online ventures.
So, if you are not getting the desired results out of your affiliate marketing, don’t lose hope. There’s definitely a remedy to this problem and that is VirulURL
Do I hear you asking, what is it and how can it help in averting any adverse situation for an affiliate marketer like me?
Be patient and read on, if you love your business.
ViralURL is a link cloaker that protects you in the truest sense. There may be many unethical people lurking around, who might play with your affiliate links by cutting them off or replacing them with their own etc. How much effort you put in towards building your business and advertising your business, if your links are tampered with, then all your hard work will be rendered useless.
In order to avoid such a rip off, ViralURL gives you full protection and sees to it that your affiliate links never get exposed to others.
So save yourself from getting ripped. Get all the commissions to your account that you rightfully deserve. All this is made possible by ViralURL
It is a blessing for every affiliate marketer like you and me, who wants to achieve success in their endeavor.
Is ViralURL limited to only link protection?
NO!
It does much much more than that. Let’s see what ViralURL can do for us:
*ViralURL helps us in protecting commission.
*ViralURL helps in building mailing lists.
*ViralURL helps in tracking statistics.
*ViralURL helps in earning extra ad credits.
In short, ViralURL allows us to create massive business leverage.
I don’t see any negative aspect associated with ViralURL. All you have to do is join it for free, then cloak your links, promote them and see your business soaring higher and higher.
You can get all detailed information about the program from the site ViralURL . There, you can find several unsolicited testimonials from various users of ViralURL. So if you want to protect your business and see your earnings grow, try ViralURL. You have nothing to lose with it.

What's In A Song???
As Ben and Gabrielle were filling out their on line planner I noticed that Ben had selected "Sesame Street" for his mother-son dance. To be honest, like may would be, I was like "OK, that is a new and different one". The version he was looking for though was a slowed down version that was featured in a recent episode of the TV show Scrubs. I researched it for actually several hours and could only come up with clips on youtube that included the dialogue from the show. I finally tracked down the song. Ben suggested an alternate if i was not able to but as most who know me will tell you, i am always determined to give my customers exactly what they ask for.
Fast forward to the mother-son dance....As i announced them to the dance floor Ben's mom as not aware of what song he had chosen. From almost the first note she began to cry tears of joy and it was emotion that I have to believe was felt by all. I thought to myself, there has to be a story behind this song. Later on, after dinner, I spoke to her for a few minutes and asked if she would share with me the special meaning of this song. She went on to tell me that as a child Ben would always want to watch Sesame Street but only if mom would watch with him. Together they would sing the "sesame Street" song as loud as they could and have a great time together. This was the beginning of a special bond between them. She even shared the humorous side of the story with me in that his friends used to make fun of him for "watching Sesame Street with his mommy." Then she said something to me that brought how important my job is to full perspective. She said, "I will always remember you making to effort to find that song for me and my son. No matter hat else happens today, I will never for that dance that we shared."
A few days back I shared what I called my "Master Card Moment" and I have to say this duplicated that feeling. Well, as if that was not enough Gabrielle also asked that I play a song called "Little Italy" for her mom. I played it probably 2/3 of the way into the wedding and as the song began mother and daughter were drawn together from opposite sides of the dance floor almost as with magnets. Together, through tears of happiness, they shared 4 very special moments in time. After the wedding Gabrielle's mom came over, gave me a hug and thanked me for playing that song. She said that while Gabrielle is now too grown up to do so, she would always dance on "mommy's feet" to that song as she was growing up. It was one of her favorite songs and she loved singing it and dancing to it with Gabrielle.
Two songs, one you would probably never expect and one you may have never heard of. While these two songs may not have any significance to anyone else they meant everything in the world to this bride and groom and their mothers. I am so very lucky to be in the profession I am in and look forward to hopefully many more special moments like these.

My Master Card Moment
I was doing a wedding in Orange Park and it was a smaller wedding. The ceremony was beautiful and just made it through before the rain started. After dinner all in attendance were up and dancing to just about everything I played. For my DJ friends you will know what I mean when it seems like you can not go wrong with what you are playing...
Fast forward to the end of the night.....
As I am beginning to pack up all my gear after a great night, a young boy approaches me and and asks if he can speak with me for a moment. I said, "Sure". He proceeds to say, "I just want to tell you that what you just did was awesome!" I asked him what he meant by that. His reply was, "The party you just did was the best ever, I hope I can be like you one day when I grow up."
With tears in my eyes I thanked him and asked him if he wanted to be a DJ. He said, "I sure do, I live in South Carolina but I hope I can find someone there that will help me." I asked him how old he was...
8 years old!!!!
I spoke to his parents afterwards and let them know that even though they lived in S.C. if he ever had any questions about being a DJ that I would gladly be there for him and gave them my number to reach me.
WOW, if that doesn't remind you why we (DJs) do what we do, I don't know what can!
